We are very excited to bring you the review of Augmented Reality Flash Cards from Code Juniors. We had received a pack of Animals 4D+ Alphabet Cards and Dinosaurs 4D+ The Prehistoric Experience Flashcards. In this post, we will review on the Animal 4D+ Alphabet Cards.
This Animals Alphabet cards consist of 26 cards from letters A-Z.
The size of the cards is 11.7cm x 72cm; a good size to hold and easy to carry around.
On one side of the card is illustrated with the animal and its name; on the other side is just the letter.
We could also listen to the pronounciation of the animal's name in the selected language. This is great for the boys to learn the animals name in English, Chinese, Bahasa and even more. There are a total of 9 languages to be selected.
The menu will also changed according to the selected language. This is extremely useful especially when the boys are playing together with the grandparents. Not only are the boys excited with the flashcards, the grandparents are equally thrilled by the augmented reality of the images.

We could use finger pinching and spreading action on the smartphone to zoom in or out the animal. Moving the flashcard or smartphone in different angle would allowed us to view the animal in 360°.
The app could detects few animals at the same time.
Once the food card is placed, the animals will walk or hop or leap to its corresponding food and begin eating. You could feed a few animals at the same time too!
The boys love seeing how the animal go after the food when the food card is move around.
Videos below shows how the animals interact with the food
There is a side menu on the right with the list of animals. It will display the encyclopedic information of the selected animal.
You can choose to view the animal in 2D or 3D. When it is in 3D, you could use finger to swipe it left and right to see the different angle of it. The information is great for parents to read ahead and further explain and discuss with the child. However, I think it would be even better if there's button for the kids to listen to it.
The information could be viewed in different languages too.
Just below the interaction menu selection, there is a selection for QUIZ!
My boys enjoyed trying to spell the name of the animals correctly.
Once it is spelled correctly, a tick is shown
A cross is shown when it is spelled wrongly. However, the correct spelling is not displayed. It would be great if it could display the correct spelling if wrong spelling is submitted.
The quiz is available in different language too.
Conclusion:
We had a great time playing and learning through this flash cards. It will be even more fun if we have a tablet/ipad for bigger and clearer view of the animals (it is not easy to squeeze more than 2 heads looking at the screen and accommodating all their fingers touching the screen at the same time). Another plus point, the app could runs without internet connection, except for the initial download. There's no need to worry of the data connection, just be prepared for LOTS OF LAUGHTER!

I should say that you have given a great product review about Augmented Reality Flashcards. Even though I have seen many normal Flash Cards, this Augmented Reality one is really new to me. It would be fun to watch animals moving and hear the sounds of animals on Flash Cards. Please do more interesting product reviews.
